William Rader Lecture January 27th

We are happy to be hosting William Rader for a lecture on Monday evening, January 27th at 7pm at our regular meeting venue.

This lecture is FREE to paid-up members. The cost for non-members will be $25. A membership costs $25, so do the math!

William Rader has been performing magic and mentalism professionally for 17 years. His clients include Samsung, Verizon, and the Cayman Islands. He spent a year performing at the Vail Chop House, succeeding Danny Archer. In addition, William produced The Denver Magic Show for two years and, for five years, organized The Rocky Mountain Session, a close-up magic convention in Denver.

William is also the co-founder of Artisan Tarot, a company dedicated to curating and creating high-quality artisanal tarot products. Artisan Tarot also operates The Unseen Arts, which produces specialty items tailored for mystery performers. Here, you can discover their magical products and learn how to use them in your shows.

The Lecture:

In this lecture, you’ll learn William’s professional routines, honed through years of performing at corporate events, trade shows, and theater shows.

These versatile routines are ideal for close-up and parlor shows. The methods are simple and are accessible to magicians of all skill levels. This lecture offers a diverse range of material, including predictions, mind reading, and body magic, ensuring there is something for every type of performer.

The Routines:

Rock, Paper, Scissors – The performer successfully predicts the outcome of a rock, paper, scissors game. This routine is self-working and easy enough for anyone to perform.

Telepatha Telepathy – A mind-reading routine combining an ESP-style deck with a pendulum. A participant is taught how to access their subconscious mind.

Lost and Found – A participant writes the name of a loved one on a blank business card, which is then mixed among other blank cards. Despite this, the participant finds their own card. To conclude, the performer reveals the name of the person the participant had in mind.

Fearfold Ritual – A ritual with a blank business card helps a participant reach their goal by showing them how to overcome their fears.

The Pentacles of Mercury – An ancient coin gives a participant magical powers. This is a hands-on demonstration of body magic. Attendees will learn to become more flexible, gain better balance, and increase their strength.

A Matching Pair – A participant fairly selects a tarot card. The performer reveals the card while giving a reading. As a surprising finale, the performer’s socks match the selection.

Hand of Fate – A yes/no routine performed with two tarot cards. A participant asks a question, makes a choice, and receives the answer they desire.

Tarot Finale – A structured approach to delivering gallery readings, focusing on crafting a powerful conclusion that ties your performance together, leaving your audience inspired.

Hope to see you there!
