I offer my thanks to Vice President Justin Teeman for taking notes at the November meeting. I was out of town and unable to attend.
Prior to the meeting, President Cassidy Smith presented a workshop on the classic coin move “spellbound.” In addition to teaching the move, he shared some great variations and applications.
Our featured performer for the meeting was John Pansze, AKA Jonathon Gerald. John shared his kid show and adult show versions of “Cards Across” with scarves and envelopes, respectively. He attributed the structure of his approach to Tom Ogden. He also shared some ideas on balloon twisting, including the basic techniques for making a dog and his thoughts on ending a balloon gig.
David Teeman started off the member performances by presenting a PATEO routine with a variety of Sharpies. Cassidy Smith performed an ace production to royal flush routine from CARD COLLEGE and a classically-structured coins to coffee mug effect.
John Shackelford performed a ten-card poker deal routine. He then presented a number divination routine using a cell phone calculator.
Elections of officers for 2016 were held. All senior officers will retain their current positions. We will have a new Junior President. He is Jade Dunn.
Details were announced for the upcoming lecture by Gazzo to be held at Costume Fun House. We’re all looking forward to it.
